Hafa Adai!
Welcome to GUAHAN Project’s website. The GUAHAN Project is a progressive and dynamic AIDS service organization that is an advocate for social justice and community empowerment in the fight against AIDS on Guam and in the Pacific.
Community support continues to be the main reason for GUAHAN Project’s success. Many selfless individuals have made personal and material contributions to the GUAHAN Project to ensure that the lives lost to the AIDS epidemic will never be forgotten and that lives will be saved through prevention and education efforts.
The amazing contributions of people living with HIV/AIDS on Guam and in the region have made GUAHAN Project’s work meaningful and effective. However, a great deal of work remains in order to overcome the shame, stigma, fear and intolerance that is often associated with AIDS.
The cure for AIDS will become a reality. It will be rooted in love and respect. It will save lives through the shared gifts and talents within us all.
On behalf of the GUAHAN Project staff and board of directors, it is my hope that you enjoy this website and find the information useful. I also extend our sincere appreciation for your support of the GUAHAN Project.
Sincerely,
Alexis Q. Silverio,
GUAHAN Project Executive Director
